Men Charged with Drinking at DG Train Station

Three local men, including one from Woodridge, were charged with drinking on public property Aug. 3 after they allegedly drank at the Fairview Avenue Metra stop in Downers Grove, police said. 

Cecil A. Downs, 46, of Downers Grove; David M. Deland, 54, of Westmont and Kenneth G. Osowski, 54, of Woodridge were charged with drinking on public property around 11:15 a.m. August 3.

Police responded to a public drinkng call at Fairview Depot, 5105 Fairview Avenue, and saw Deland dump out a beer and Downs put a beer in the garbage can. Police said a can of beer and cup filled with beer were found by Osowski who was lying on a bench at the station.
