More than 50 families came out to partake in Meadowview's annual Fun Fair Friday.
PTO hosted its annual Fun Fair at the school Friday.
This year's fair consisted of face painting, games, raffles, a silent auction, good food and prizes.
Families purchased tickets for a quarter a piece for games like bowling, golf and hockey to fishing, bozo buckets and a cake walk. Children played games for the price of one to two tickets and everyone walked away a winner, earning a consolation ticket if no tickets were won.

Later, children redeemed tickets for various prizes, costing anywhere from 1 to 100 tickets.
Raffle tickets were also available for purchase, and families bid on 37 different themed-baskets put together by each classroom. Basket themes included baking, water games, pizza party and Starbucks.

The school also held a silent auction, bidding on items such as sports tickets, autographed sports paraphernalia, a birthday party at Arabian Nights barn and various gift certificates. All silent auction items were donated by businesses. Jeff Gaspar, a PTO chairperson, organized the silent auction.
The event was run by Danielle Chesney, a member of the PTO, with the help of volunteer students from Downers Grove North and South high schools who assisted in running the different games.
Proceeds from the Fun Fair go to the school and help pay for buses, field trips, pizza parties for the classrooms, and other items the school may need.
Amelia Korbitz, 10, and her sister Francesca, 6, both said their favorite part of the Fun Fair is the Cake Walk Game. The game is a version of musical chairs, but with kids walking on "cake squares."
Rylan Gaspao, a second grader at Meadowview, said her favorite game was the fish bowl.
"I like the games," Rylan said. "My favorite is the fish bowl. I'm trying to win a fish."
