Someone removed a cell phone from a purse around 11 p.m. at a business in the 6300 block of Route 53, .

Battery, criminal damage to property

Leah Presley, 18, from the 15000 block of Orchard Lane, was arrested around 12:40 a.m. and charged with battery, criminal damage to property and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor following an altercation in the 7200 block of Woodward Avenue, police said. 

Picnic tables marked with permanent marker 

Someone marked picnic tables at Janes Avenue Park with black permanent marker between Oct. 10 at 8 a.m. and Oct. 11 at 8 a.m., police said. 

Oct. 10 

Tennis shoes stolen from Kohl's 

Someone removed a pair of tennis shoes from Kohl's, 1001 75th St., and fled the area on foot around 5 p.m., police said. 

Oct. 9

Driving under the influence 

Jessica Torres, 23, from the 2100 block of Veronica Street in Plano, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a car accident near the intersection of 75th Street and Woodward Avenue, police said.

iPod stolen from car

Someone removed an ipod from the center counsel of a vehicle sometime between 8 p.m. on Oct. 8 and 9 a.m. on Oct. 9 in the 6700 block of Greene Road, police said. 

Driving under the influence 

Stephanie Cabral, 23, from the 600 block of Londonberry Lane in Bolingbrook, was arrested around 4:40 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a car accident in the 2600 block of Center Drive, police said.

Driving under the influence 

Lina Stasaityte, 25, from the 20 block of Westminster Drive in Downers Grove, was arrested around 1 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper turn at an intersection and failure to signal following a traffic stop near the intersection of Seven Bridges Drive and Double Eagle, police said. 

Side window smashed, shopping bag stolen 

Someone smashed the passenger side window of a vehicle and removed a shopping bag containing miscellaneous items between Oct. 7 at 4 p.m. and Oct. 8 at 8 a.m. in the 2800 block of Mitchell Drive, police said. 

Retail theft

Nicole Garner, 19, from the 1200 block of Arthur Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested around 7:40 p.m. and charged with retail theft after she removed several cartons of transmission fluid and fuel treatment from a business in the 8200 block of Janes Avenue, police said. 

Oct. 7 

Car marked with latex paint

Someone marked a car with latex paint between 10 p.m. on Oct. 6 and 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 7 in the 2800 block of Hobson Road, police said. 

Driving under the influence

Richard Castellanos, 29, from the 6100 block of 75th Avenue in Summit, was arrested around 9:50 p.m. and charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage following a traffic stop near the intersection of Route 53 and Everglade Lane, police said.
