Girl Who Lost Leg In Train Accident Gifted Ramp By WTFD, IFD Personnel
Breanna Brooks lost her leg last month in a train accident between Lynhurst Dr. and Holt Rd., and has since formed a bond with rescue crews.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Nearly one month after Breanna Brooks lost her leg in a train accident, Wayne Township Fire Department and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department crews teamed up to create a special birthday present for the young girl. According to photos and posts from the WTFD Twitter and Facebook accounts, @Waynetwpfire, firefighters, paramedics and police officers built Brooks a ramp outside her home Wednesday for her 12th birthday.
WTFD said in a tweet a bond has developed between responders and Brooks since the Aug. 9 accident, as they're being called her support group.
