Indiana Now Allows Sunday Alcohol Sales
Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb signs Sunday carryout alcohol sales bill into law: Report

ACROSS INDIANA -- Hoosiers can now purchase alcohol on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. after Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb signed one of the most watched pieces of legislation this year on Wednesday. The signing of Senate Enrolled Act 1 means carryout alcohol sales will begin this Sunday, March 4.
The Indiana Senate approved the bill Thursday, Feb. 22 before it moved on to Gov. Holcomb. AP News reports the state Senate voted 38-10 to give final legislative approval to repealing the state's Sunday alcohol sales ban. The bill that was also approved by the Indiana House this month.
An amendment also recently signed by the governor made a Indiana House bill effective immediately instead of going into effect July 1.
