“Burritos Better Built” are Coming to Waukee
WAUKEE, Iowa – Pancheros Mexican Grill will soon serve up Burritos Better Built in Waukee.
The restaurant, known for its fresh-pressed tortillas, ingredient mixing spatula, Bob the Tool, and craveable queso, announced today that it will open a new company-operated Pancheros restaurant in Waukee. It is the ninth Pancheros in the Greater Des Moines area.
The new location, which is set to open in the second half of 2018, will be located at the Shoppes at Prairie Crossing, 757 E. Hickman Rd.
Based in Iowa City, Iowa, Pancheros has grown from its Midwest roots into 13 states across the country, with each restaurant earning adoration and a loyal fan following in their communities for their homemade, fresh-pressed tortillas, queso, burrito bowls, quesadillas, tacos and salad.
“We are excited to continue growing within our home state and throughout the country,” said Rodney Anderson, founder and CEO of Pancheros. “There is a demand for more Pancheros locations in Iowa and Waukee proved to be the perfect city for our next restaurant.”
The new Waukee location complements a period of strategic growth for the brand. In addition to the new Waukee restaurant, Pancheros has several more openings already planned for 2018, including McKinney, Texas and Saint Paul, Minnesota.
There are currently approximately 70 Pancheros Mexican Grill restaurants across the United States with an additional 10 in development. The Waukee location will be the 26th Pancheros location in Iowa.
