• Your phone bill could go up 75 cents under East Baton Rouge 911 fee proposal (wafb.com) — East Baton Rouge Parish leaders are weighing a hike to the 911 fee on your phone bill, potentially raising most lines by 75 cents a month to fund upgraded emergency call and dispatch technology. A public hearing and vote are set for Oct. 21 at the Sheriff's Office headquarters, where residents can speak out before commissioners decide whether to approve the increase.

• 61-year-old woman dies after crash on I-10 (wafb.com) — A 61‑year‑old woman from the Baton Rouge area died Saturday morning after her vehicle overturned following a rear‑end crash on westbound I‑10 near the South Acadian Thruway exit. Baton Rouge Police are still investigating and asking anyone who saw what happened to contact Crime Stoppers with information that could clarify how the collision occurred.

• Baton Rouge area business shutting down, citing higher food and gas prices (wbrz.com) — A Baton Rouge-area favorite, the Bayou Buns and Wingz food truck, will shut down on Oct. 31 after rising food and fuel costs made it too hard to stay profitable. The owners say other local small businesses are struggling too, and they're urging Baton Rouge residents to keep supporting mom-and-pop spots while they consider future restaurant plans.

- Good morning, l appreciate all the compliments and support for the previous posting.
All l am trying to do is brighten your day. Here is another painting l had done and was inspired few months back after our visit to Canada. The… (Nextdoor Oak Hills Place) - I really don't know what to call this recipe it was a bunch of leftover things I had in my refrigerator and I created this meal so I'm just sharing 🤏🏾🤏🏾🤏🏾 it's just shrimps, broccoli, thin steaks, potatoes.
The steaks are cooked in a rosemary sauce and then I blend it all with some cheese sauce at the end (Nextdoor Jefferson)
