Parades are under way across Maryland and fireworks will wrap up the long Fourth of July weekend later tonight. Most fireworks are not legal in Maryland. Check with your local municipality for laws regarding fireworks.

Therefore, you'll probably want to check out one of the events below.

Mother Nature is not offering a cloud-free holiday. Early indications are that there may be some rain when you're grilling, sailing or heading to the parade, but it won't be a total washout. The National Weather Service calls for a 40 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 91. Look for scattered showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m., then isolated showers. Expect mostly cloudy skies tonight, with a low around 72. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
