Medical Facility Opens In Annapolis, Offers Vascular Care From University Of MD Doctors
A new medical facility opened in Annapolis. The center will offer vascular care from doctors in the University of Maryland Medical System.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The University of Maryland Medical System recently opened a new vascular center in Annapolis. The doctors specialize in blood vessel health.
"The center ... offers Annapolis residents greater access to advanced vascular care from physicians who are experts at diagnosing and treating all aspects of vascular disease," University of Maryland Medical System spokesperson Bill Seiler told Patch in an email.
The medical system cut the ribbon on its latest facility on May 10, dubbing it the University of Maryland Vascular Center at Annapolis.

The office came through a partnership between Dr. Rajabrata Sarkar and Dr. John Martin.
Sarkar is the vascular surgery chief at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Martin is a well-known vascular surgeon in Annapolis.

Martin previously co-founded the Heart Health Foundation, a nonprofit that offers free vascular screenings through its Dare to C.A.R.E. initiative. More information on that effort is posted at daretocare.us.
Martin has since joined the University of Maryland School of Medicine as a volunteer clinical associate professor.

The University of Maryland Vascular Center at Annapolis is located at 116 Defense Highway, Suite 100. The facility is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

"The University of Maryland has one of the top vascular surgery programs in the region," the office's website said. "The University of Maryland vascular team is skilled at using the latest techniques in screening, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care to tackle a range of vascular conditions."
