Ocean City is home to one of America’s finest beaches, according to TripAdvisor. The website dedicated to all things travel just released its 2017 Travelers’ Choice Awards rankings for the best beaches in the country. Ocean City's beach landed at No. 10, nudging out some hot spots in Florida, Hawaii and California.

Police ID Perry Hall Student With Gun
A 17-year-old student is being held without bail after police said he brought a gun to school on Thursday. A school resource officer was alerted when the teen allegedly showed off the weapon to his peers.

Transgender Bathroom Use Won't Change in Anne Arundel Schools
Anne Arundel County Public Schools have followed the Obama administration's guidelines on transgender restroom and locker room use, and school leaders said there is no plan to change the policy. School board president Stacy Korbelak said the board will wait for the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on a transgender student's lawsuit before taking up the issue.

Town Halls Across 1st Congressional District Center on Affordable Care Act
After constituents asked for their congressman to discuss health insurance with them in person, U.S. Rep. Andy Harris announced he will hold a "brick and mortar" town hall. A grassroots group is also holding its own set of town hall forums on the issue.
