MD Man Sentenced In Killing Of Pasadena Teen
Months after a verdict was reached in the killing of a Pasadena teen, a Glen Burnie man has been sentenced.
ANNE ARUNDEL CO., MD — Alexis Cancel-Soto, a 21-year-old from Glen Burnie, was sentenced Thursday for a 2024 gunfight that killed a Pasadena teen.
Baltimore City Circuit Judge Nicole Barmore sentenced Cancel-Soto to life in prison, with all but 30 years suspended. He was also issued five years of supervised probation.
The sentencing comes after Cancel-Soto was found guilty in September on multiple charges, such as first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder, reckless endangerment, loaded handgun, and illegal possession of a firearm.

The Capital Gazette reported that Cancel-Soto, while on the stand, acknowledged that he had been friends with Holt, who was not the intended target of the shooting.
Prosecutors said the gunfight targeted the driver of a purple Dodge Challenger.
The October 2024 shooting also saw charges filed against Devontaye Richardson and Daeshaun Clark.
Court records show Richardson was found guilty of reckless endangerment in November and that he was sentenced to five years in prison, with all but 18 months suspended. He was acquitted of murder and attempted murder.
Legal proceedings are ongoing for Clark, who has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including first-degree murder and attempted murder.
