Shots Fired Near Morgan State University: Report
BREAKING: Shots were reportedly fired at an apartment complex near Morgan State University.

BALTIMORE, MD — Shots were reportedly fired around the Morgan State University campus Monday night. Gunfire rang out at an off-campus apartment complex that housed students of the university in northeast Baltimore, according to Fox 45, which reported it was unclear whether anyone was injured.
As of 10:30 p.m., police told the news station that there was evidence of a shooting but a victim had not been located at the Morgan View apartment complex.
The call about shots fired was received at 9:30 p.m. in the area of Pentridge Road, according to WJZ, which reported both Baltimore Police Department and Morgan State police officers were investigating.

Morgan State has been connected to a handful of violent incidents in the past several years.
A student was fatally stabbed while crossing the street near campus in September 2016; more than a year and a half later, the murder of Marcus Edwards, 21, remains unsolved.

In February 2016, a student was killed in a separate stabbing, which officials said was related to a basketball game.
