Bel Air Man Charged in Fatal Fallston Hit and Run: Police

Police say they believe the 24-year-old was allegedly driving the Jeep that killed a Fallston man in March on Harford Road.

A Bel Air man has been charged in the hit-and-run that resulted in the death of a Fallston man, according to Maryland State Poilce.

Kenneth S. Borys, 24, of the 300 block of Locust Lane, is charged with failure to stop his vehicle and remain at the scene of a collision, failure to immediately stop his vehicle at the scene, failure as the driver involved in an accident to render aid, failure to stop after an accident involving damage and failure to stop his vehicle and remain at scene of accident involving bodily injury, police said.

The charges stem from a collision that police said occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on March 5, and resulted in the death of Christian Widomski.

Police identified the suspect vehicle as a Jeep Cherokee, and reported on St. Patrick’s Day that it had been found.

Investigators spent “hundreds of hours conducting interviews, searching for evidence, investigating hundreds of leads called in by citizens and collecting and reviewing security camera tapes from businesses along Harford Road,” Maryland State Police reported Wednesday, Sept. 30.

During the initial stages of the investigation, citizens submitted more than 200 tips to police, Maryland State Police spokesman Greg Shipley said previously.

“Diligent police work led to troopers locating the Jeep and identifying the accused as a suspect,” police said Wednesday, noting Maryland State Police worked collaboratively with the Harford County State’s Attorney’s Office in the investigation.

A Harford County grand jury last week got together to review the case and handed down the indictment Wednesday, Sept. 30, according to Maryland State Police.

Borys was arrested without incident on Wednesday, Sept. 30, and taken for processing in Harford County, where he was held on a $20,000 bond, police reported.
