Harford Deputies Snag Suspect in HoCo Road Rage Case
Harford County sheriff's deputies are credited with picking up a suspect who was wanted in a shooting a few counties away.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD – A man detained in Harford County Monday night is being charged in a road rage case out of Howard County, authorities said Tuesday.
Deputies from the southern precinct detained Leon Von Woods, 34, based on the suspicion that he may be armed, according to Cristie Kahler, spokeswoman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Officers were responding at 9:39 p.m. Monday to a report of a possibly armed individual near the Edgewood Arsenal Gate when they saw Woods, of 20th Street NE in Washington, D.C., standing in the middle of MD 152, Kahler said.
Deputies spotted shell casings in the vehicle and a firearm near Woods, according to Kahler.

Deputies reported to the Howard County Police Department that they had a suspect who matched the description of a man wanted in a Columbia road rage case reported Monday morning.
He was taken to the Harford County Detention Center, where officials said he was being held without bond.

According to the Howard County Police Department, a caller to 911 reported around 6:15 a.m. on Monday that a man was driving erratically on MD 100 west near MD 108.
Woods, driving a dark Chrysler 300 with chrome rims, allegedly pulled up to the caller and shot at the driver's side door, police said.
Nobody was injured, and authorities reported the only thing hit by the single gunshot was the door.
Howard County police said Woods will be charged with attempted murder, assault and firearms violations.
