Footage of Shell Station Robbers Released, $10K Reward Offered

Montgomery County Police have released surveillance footage of three men suspected of robbing a gas station at gunpoint.

Video surveillance footage and photographs of three suspects in a Sept. 9 Bethesda gas station robbery have been released by investigators asking for the public’s help in identifying the robbers.

Montgomery County Police say the Shell gas station at 10211 Westlake Drive in Bethesda was robbed about 2:20 a.m. on Sept. 9. The first suspect entered the Shell gas station and posed as a customer; about a minute later two more suspects entered the gas station with their faces covered by T-shirts.

The second suspect into the store carried a handgun and ordered the cashier to open the register. Police say the third suspect went behind the counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and cigarettes from a display.

All three suspects fled from the gas station parking lot toward Democracy Boulevard and Taveshire Way.

Anyone with information about the identity of the robbery suspects is asked to contact police at 240-773-5070.
