• Taste Of Bethesda Returns This October: See Participating Eateries (patch.com) — Food lovers in Bethesda can look forward to the Taste of Bethesda returning to the Woodmont Triangle area on Saturday, Oct. 3, with nearly 50 local restaurants serving sample-sized dishes. The free-admission festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., features four live music stages and kids' activities, and is easily accessible via Bethesda garages, Metro, and the free Bethesda Circulator.
   

• WMATA wraps summer Red Line rehab project. For Railroad Career Professionals (progressiverailroading.com) — Red Line trains are now running again through Bethesda after nine weeks of summer construction, restoring full service to the Bethesda, Medical Center, and Grosvenor-Strathmore stations. Riders will notice a new mezzanine structure at Bethesda built for the future Purple Line, with added escalators, elevators, and faregates, while remaining work continues behind barriers over the next 18 months.
