Special Olympics Fundraiser Held In Bethesda Sept. 30
An Over the Edge fundraiser Sept. 30 in Bethesda lets you rappel down a 16-story building.

From SOMD: Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD) will host their 1st annual Over The Edge fundraising event at The Chevy Chase Land Company’s 2 Bethesda Metro Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
Over the course of 24 hours, 92 thrill-seeking fans will rappel down the 16 story building to the cheers of their supporters on the plaza below. The event is open to the community and spectators are encouraged to enjoy food and entertainment as individuals and teams face their fears head on, just as our athletes do every day.
Funds raised from the event will be used by Special Olympics Maryland to directly support the year-round athletic training and competition opportunities provided for Maryland’s children and adults with intellectual disabilities at no cost to athletes or their families.
Registration is now open at www.overtheedgemd.com
