Suspects Sought in 'Pack-Style' Robberies at Bloomingdale's, Macy's
Montgomery County Police are asking the public to identify the suspects, who used pepper spray on security guards.

Police have released surveillance camera images of several suspects believed to have robbed Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s recently, using pepper spray on guards in both cases.
Detectives are asking the public for help identifying these persons of interest in two “pack”-style robberies that occurred inside department stores in Chevy Chase and Bethesda. The two robberies are being investigated separately; the incidents and suspects have not been linked.
The first robbery happened July 3 at Bloomingdale’s, 5300 Western Avenue in Chevy Chase. Police say numerous males and females entered the store, concealed merchandise and tried to leave without paying. Loss prevention officers were pepper-sprayed and assaulted by the suspects when they were approached outside the store.

The suspects are described as black males and females, ranging from 15 to 20 years old.
On July 23, two suspects reportedly stole merchandise from Macy’s, 7125 Democracy Boulevard in Bethesda. The store’s loss prevention officers were hit with pepper spray by the suspects as they tried to stop them from leaving.

The suspects in the Macy’s case are described as a black male and a black female, about 20 to 25 years old.
