The Prince George's County teenager is being held on $100,000 bond for burglary and gun charges.

A Prince George’s County teenager has been charged as an adult for home break-ins in Silver Spring and Rockville.

Wayne A. Robinson, 17, of Capitol Heights, was arrested June 24 for an attempted residential burglary in Silver Spring while armed with a handgun. As a result of this investigation Robinson was charged as an adult for offenses related to two previous events.

A resident in the 700 block of Pershing Drive called police last month to report a burglary in progress. The homeowner told officers he heard someone, later identified as Robinson, attempting to open his front door and looked out his front window. The suspect saw the homeowner looking at him through the window and he ran.

Officers took Robinson into custody after a foot pursuit. A .40 caliber Beretta handgun was reportedly found in Robinson’s waistband, and he had a credit card that was reported stolen in a burglary June 20 in the 400 block of Pershing Drive in Silver Spring.

Detectives learned the handgun seized from Robinson had been stolen from a Rockville house in 2014.
