Thanksgiving provides much loved days off for kids, but for many parents the holiday strains family food budgets, organizers said. The Town’s contribution of 80 dinner baskets, now in its seventh year, is part of a larger county effort that helps MCPS families with groceries, not only for a Thanksgiving meal, but throughout the long holiday weekend.
