What's Open, Closed In Montgomery County For Veterans Day 2017

BETHESDA-CHEVY CHASE, MD - From the Montgomery County Government: Montgomery County government will observe the following holiday schedule for Veterans Day, Friday, November 10. (See below.)

And Rockville will hold a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Veterans Park at the corner of Rt. 28 and Rt. 355. Rockville’s mayor and council will hold this annual ceremony in honor of the men and women who served in the nation’s armed forces.

American Legion Post 86 will lead the wreath-laying ceremony and their Honor Guard will present a 21-gun salute. A reception will follow at American Legion Post 86, located at 2013 Veirs Mill Road. Learn about this year's guest speaker, Enrique Mazon Jr. Parking is available at Sandy Spring Bank located at Fleet St. and Rt. 355.

Libraries – closed
County Liquor stores – all County liquor stores will be open normal hours.
Recreation – aquatic and community centers open as scheduled with the exception of the Germantown Indoor Swim Center, which is closing at 2 p.m. on November 10 and closed all day on November 11 for a swim meet; classes and programs will meet as scheduled; all senior programs cancelled, and administrative offices and senior centers closed.
