Family Of Shocked Girl Suing MGM National Harbor: Report

The 6-year-old girl reportedly is still being treated after touching a lighted hand railing at MGM National Harbor earlier this year.

NATIONAL HARBOR, MD -- The family of a 6-year-old girl who was electrocuted at MGM National Harbor earlier this year is suing the company, according to a report.

Fox 5 DC reports that an early draft of the lawsuit, likely to be filed before the end of the month, names MGM National Harbor and MGM National Grand as defendants.

The lawsuit alleges that Zynae Green, who is being treated in an "acute medical care facility" after weeks in the hospital, was a victim of negligence on the part of MGM Resorts. The lawsuit also claims that two other family members, a 5-year-old and 16-year-old, were also injured in the incident and hospitalized.

Alarming photos emerged last month that allegedly show bad wiring that may have led to the young girl's electrocution. An MGM National Harbor employee who tried to help the girl was also reportedly hurt.
