HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Howard County Board of Education member Christina Delmont-Small will be stepping down from her position as a board of education member effective immediately.
Delmont-Small currently represents District 1 in Howard County and was elected to her first term in 2016. She has accepted a new job and will be focusing on her career.
“I am grateful for the time I have been able to serve the interests of our students, educators and families,” Delmont-Small said . “After dedicating many years to the stakeholders of the Howard County Public School System, and in close consultation with my family, I decided it was impossible to properly balance the many requirements of a board member while being able to commit my time and energy to my new job. I am appreciative for the collaboration of my past and present board colleagues over the years and for the close partnership the board has cultivated with Dr. Martirano.”
