Kyra Dean Ready for AAU Junior Olympics

Kyra Dean of Crofton said running at the AAU Junior Olympics is like a taking a vacation. She started training for track and field with her brother . They are among the 27 athletes from the nearby Living Waters Track club in Odenton.

. The games take place from July 27-Aug. 6 in New Orleans at Tad Gormley Stadium.

VIDEO: Kyra’s father Joseph Dean said his daughter usually takes up dancing and the arts so track was a change. He talked with Crofton Patch about how his daughter got into track and jumping. Kyra also described what she thinks are the best parts about working out with the Living Waters Track Club.
