The following was submitted to Patch by Doug Oyler. The Crofton Stars 12U B team participated in the USSSA Rock N Rumble tournament over the June 2-3 weekend. Despite two players being out with injuries, the team finished as a finalist, making it to the championship game on strong pitching, solid defense and timely hitting. Earlier this season, the team qualified for the USSSA World Series. Although the team holds open try-outs, the Crofton Stars is a community team, composed of girls living within a 5 mile radius. The coaches and parents are extremely proud of the girls' accomplishments.
