YOUR PHOTOS: Living Waters Athletics at AAU Junior Olympics
More than 27 athletes and coaches from the Living Waters Athletics Track and Field team are on their way back from New Orleans for the AAU Junior Olympics. Team photographer Adrian Hood sent these photos to Crofton and Odenton Patch sites.
It’s been a long hard road to the “Big Easy” for members of the Living Waters Track and Field team. More than 27 athletes and coaches from the Living Waters Track team are in New Orleans for the AAU Junior Olympics. The games ended August 6 at Tad Gormley Stadium.
Team photographer Adrian Hood sent these photos to Crofton and Odenton Patch sites. In an email Hood said the Living Waters team had already earned medals. Hood added Ashton Allen set a national record in the Sub-Bantam Triathlon on the second day.
Crofton’s long jumped her personal best in New Orleans. He father Joseph Dean said via email, Kyra cleared 8.06.

The email went on to say placed 10th in the triathlon, 11th in the 100m and 5th in the high jump. Dean was also on Living Water’s Boys Bantum 4x100 relay team with Ryan Wiley, Jay Parsons and Ashton Allen. The team brought home the gold, according to Dean’s parents.
qualified in an event at Wise High School in Prince George’s County earlier this month. They have a solid group of kids ages 7-18 who’ve been practicing three times a week throughout the summer at Arundel High School.
