Man Injured by Tire at Sparrows Point: Baltimore County Officials

Changing a tire sent a man to shock trauma Thursday morning, according to Baltimore County public safety officials.

At 11:43 a.m., Baltimore County fire and police personnel responded to Sparrows Point, where a man was injured, officials reported.

He had been changing a tire on a trailer when the tire blew and struck him in the head, the report said.

Due to the incident, officials reported the man suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by a Maryland State Police helicopter.
