Homicide Victim Found Along Path in Lothian: Police
Anne Arundel County Police say a Churchton man's body showed obvious trauma. An autopsy will determine the cause of death.

Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead along a path in Lothian Friday evening.
Anne Arundel County Police were called to a wooded area near the intersection of Margarita Street and Tequila Straight Drive in Lothian, Maryland about 9:20 p.m. on a report of a sick or injured person.
Officer located an unresponsive man lying on a path. Fire Department personnel at the scene pronounced the man deceased.

The male displayed obvious trauma, police say, and was the apparent victim of a homicide.
The victim was identified as Joseph Steven Gibbons, 21, from the 5000 block of Lee Way Drive in Churchton.

Gibbons’ body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore so an autopsy could determine the exact cause and manner of death.
Detectives were still examining the crime scene and interviewing several witnesses Saturday morning.
