Man Falls Out of Van, Dies of Head Injury

A Glen Burnie man died early Saturday from head injuries he suffered, possibly falling from a van in the Severn area, police say.

A Glen Burnie man died of head injuries in an accident early Saturday, and Anne Arundel County Police say he may have fallen from the rear of a van.

Police are still searching for witnesses to what happened at roughly 1:52 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Meade Village Circle and Meade Village Road in the Severn area.

Officers arrived to find the victim, Todd De Andre Thomas, 30, of Glen Burnie, lying face down with a head injury. Fire department personnel took Thomas to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma, where he died from his injuries.

The investigation suggests that Thomas may have fallen from the rear of a white van. The operator of the van may not realized that Thomas was injured. The Traffic Safety Section has taken over the investigation due to a potential vehicle being involved.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the Anne Arundel Police Department (410) 222-8610 or the Traffic Safety Section at (410) 222-8573.
