Police Arrest Family in Selby on Drug Charges

In the early morning hours of Friday, police confiscated drugs and arrested the occupants of a home on Branhum Road in Edgewater.

Five people—including four members of the same family—were arrested Friday morning on drug charges in Edgewater's Selby neighborhood, according to a media release from Anne Arundel County Police Department spokesman Justin Mulcahy.

The police report said that at about 6:45 a.m. Friday, police used a search warrant to check for suspected drug activity at the home of the Hurley family in the 3600 block of Branhum Road.

Detectives found more than six pounds of suspected marijuana, with a street value of nearly $60,000, according to the report. Police also found Psilocybin mushrooms, Lysergic Acid Diethylamid (LSD), drug paraphernalia and $2,661 in cash, the report said.

At the scene, police arrested, Robert Joseph Hurley Sr., 56, his wife, Carol Lynne Hurley, 56, and their two sons, Robert Joseph Hurley Jr., 24, and Mark Scott Hurley, 20. Police also arrested Nicole Marie Clymer, 24—the live-in girlfriend of Robert Hurley Jr., according to police.

All were charged each with three counts: possession with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, the release said.

The youngest, Mark Hurley, was also charged for possession of LSD with intent to distribute, possession of LSD and possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms.
