Thunderstorms Joining Flash Flood Watch Saturday Afternoon

A Flash Flood Watch continues until 2 a.m. Sunday morning. A Coastal Flood Advisory is also in effect until 7 a.m. Sunday for Anne Arundel County.

It’ll be a much nicer day to wrap up the weekend, but we have to get through some rough weather first.

Forecasters are expecting thunderstorms heading through the region Saturday afternoon and evening.

The best chance for thunderstorms will be after 2 p.m. and before 7 p.m. Wind gusts may reach up to 20 mph.

The likelihood for storms continues into the night, but is expected to head out before sunrise.
