Human Remains Found By Hikers in Gaithersburg, Death Called Suspicious

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Montgomery County Police have called the death of a male whose remains were found over the weekend in a shallow grave in the Gaithersburg area suspicious.

Hikers reported they found the human remains about 4:30 p.m. Saturday in a wooded area in the 11500 block of Game Preserve Road. Detectives believe the unidentified victim is a male. An autopsy will be completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore to determine the cause of death and identify the victim.
