• Bank Employee Calls Would-Be Robber's Bluff In Gaithersburg, Leaves Suspect Penniless: Police (dailyvoice.com) — An attempted robbery at the M&T Bank on Darnestown Road in Gaithersburg ended with the suspect fleeing empty-handed after a calm employee delayed handing over cash. Police quickly identified 44-year-old Gaithersburg resident Guarzmjon Aioubov, arrested him the same day, and charged him with attempted bank robbery; he remains held without bond.
   

• X-energy Expands Gaithersburg Headquarters to 145,000 Square Feet (mocoshow.com) — X-energy is significantly expanding its new headquarters at Washingtonian Center in Gaithersburg to about 145,000 square feet, helping refill space at 9801 Washingtonian Boulevard. The clean energy company plans to retain 260 jobs and add more than 525 positions over six years, strengthening Gaithersburg's role in advanced technology while also investing in a new testing facility in Frederick.
