• New MARC Service to Provide Direct Montgomery County-Baltimore Connection (wfmd.com) — Gaithersburg commuters will soon get a faster, one-seat MARC ride to Baltimore starting September 28, cutting travel time from 137 minutes to about 78. A new weekday train will link Gaithersburg with other Montgomery County stops and Baltimore Camden Station without a Union Station transfer, though riders should review updated Brunswick and Camden timetables.
   

• Montgomery County car thefts rise 22% despite national decline (wjla.com) — Drivers in Gaithersburg should know that vehicle thefts in Montgomery County have risen 22% over the past year, with the 6th District that includes Gaithersburg recording 324 stolen cars.
