• Carbon monoxide leak at Gaithersburg, Maryland, apartment complex sends at least 11 to the hospital (washingtontimes.com) — A carbon monoxide leak at an apartment complex on North Summit Avenue in Gaithersburg sent at least 11 people, including seven children, to area hospitals after 51 residents were evaluated. Fire officials say an oven was the likely source, prompting evacuations of three buildings before Washington Gas removed the appliance and residents were allowed back a few hours later.
