GERMANTOWN, MD — Four people with suspected gang ties, one of them a teenager, have been arrested for the slaying of a 19-year-old Washington, D.C., woman who was found dead last month in a wooded area in Dickerson.
Montgomery County police say Silver Spring resident Jonathan Josue Rivera-Escobar, 19, and Washington, D.C. residents Geovany A. Dominguez-Escobar, 24, Jordan Ryan Moreno, 21, and Rigoberto Machado, 16, were charged Tuesday with first-degree murder. All of the suspects, police said, are associated with the 18th Street gang.
Their arrests come less than three weeks after a passerby discovered the body of Sara Gutierrez-Villatoro in the 25700 block of Old Hundred Rd. Detectives said the slain teen had been shot.
