PlayStation 4 Sale On Snapchat Ends In Germantown Robbery, Gunshot
A Germantown resident listed a PlayStation 4 for sale on Snapchat. The buyer refused to pay and hit the owner with a handgun, police said.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — A Germantown man listed a PlayStation 4 for sale on Snapchat, but the sale turned into an attempted robbery. The buyer refused to pay and hit the owner with a handgun, Montgomery County Police said. (See video of the two suspected robbers running from the scene below.)
Detectives have released surveillance video of two armed robbery suspects and are asking for the public’s help identifying them.
The attack was reported as a shooting about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, in the 11800 block of Regents Park Drive for the report of a shooting.

Investigators said the victim placed a PlayStation 4 (PS4) for sale on Snapchat. The purported buyer and another man arrived at the victim’s house to complete the sale. When the man gave the first suspect the PS4, he said he was not going to pay it.
The two robbery suspects and the victim struggled. At some point, the first suspect produced a handgun and hit the victim with it, causing minor injuries, a police report said.

The suspects ran away without the PS4. While running, the first suspect tripped, causing the gun to fire.
The first suspect is described as 6-feet, 2-inches tall, 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
