Havre de Grace Holiday Parade Slated For December 6
"Holly Jolly First Friday" will offer holiday shopping, decorated trees, a parade, Santa Land, tree lighting and other festivities.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Downtown Havre de Grace will brim with the Christmas spirit this December. To kick off the month, the city's annual "Holly Jolly First Friday" event is set for Dec. 6.
Kids can ride the Santa Express train, be delighted by stilt-walkers, visit Santa in Santa Land, buy goods in the Christmas market and more. Did we mention the parade and tree lighting?
Mark your calendar for 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6.

Here's what is on the "Holly Jolly First Friday" agenda:
- Kids Zone on Franklin Street featuring s'mores and crafts
- Holiday Tree Jubilee at Le Banque
- Tree lighting
- Santa Land on Washington Street
- Christmas Market on Pennington Avenue
- Santa Express train
- Extended store hours downtown
- Food trucks
- Strolling characters

It will be the seventh parade of the year for the city, which just hosted the Havre de Grace Veterans Day Parade on Monday, Nov. 11. October featured the Halloween and Homecoming parades. Over the summer, there was the Independence Day Parade. March was brightened by the Mardi Gras parade, and a small ice parade debuted in January with the inaugural Havre de Grace Ice Festival.
