The demonstration is scheduled to take place at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Havre de Grace City Hall and Police Department. Demonstrations and protests, some of which have turned violent, have continued around the country since the police-involved death of George Floyd last week in Minneapolis. In a post on the department's <a href="https://www.facebook.com/1539884252961340/posts/2673588876257533" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Facebook page</a> Wednesday, Havre de Grace police officials wrote that their participation in Saturday's protest is to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for our citizens to exercise their constitutional rights.
