After 'Heavy Delays,' Tydings Bridge Crash Clears: MDTA

Traffic was affected on both north and southbound I-95 Saturday from the crash on the bridge between Harford and Cecil counties.

Officials said a crash on the Tydings Bridge Saturday morning caused delays on Interstate 95. Emergency personnel were called to the bridge between Harford and Cecil counties before 9 a.m., where traffic stacked up as people journeyed to their destinations ahead of Labor Day.

Three vehicles had crashed on I-95 north before the exit for MD 222, according to transportation officials.

The collision was reported after 8:30 a.m. and resulted in two left lanes being blocked on I-95 north.

Lanes had reopened by 9:30 a.m., according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.

By 10:15 a.m., traffic was flowing as usual.

During the response to the crash, officials said there were heavy delays around the bridge.
