Former Bishop Up For Parole After Drunken Hit-And-Run
Defrocked bishop Heather Cook, 60, is eligible for parole less than two years after she began serving her sentence for killing a cyclist. At the time, she was drunk and texting. She was sentenced to seven years in jail in October 2015 but could be released this summer.
Joe Flacco-Signed Sports Illustrated Copy Stolen, Internet Asks Why
The theft of a magazine signed by the Baltimore Ravens quarterback from a suburban pizza joint elicited a yawn and snarky comments from the public. Anne Arundel County Police say a man on April 8 helped himself to a Joe Flacco autographed copy of Sports Illustrated magazine from Seasons Pizza in Linthicum. One person responded to the Facebook post from police: "Why would u steal a Flacco-signed anything?"

Ben Carson Rescued From Elevator At Miami Public Housing Complex
Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson and his wife, Candy, got stuck inside an elevator Wednesday morning for about 15 minutes in Miami. Firefighters rushed to the public housing complex to rescue them. Carson is on a "listening tour" to meet with developers, public housing residents and community groups.
