The July 11 community event was designed to connect residents with resources such as employment services and health care opportunities.

“This is an excellent way to bring people together to celebrate the community and also have fun,” Rawlings-Blake said in advance of the festival. “I also want to provide an opportunity to reach out to residents with information about health, education and employment resources. This event will bring all of these resources to one location. My hope is that families will connect with services and information that enhance their resilience and strengthen our communities.”
