Burlington To Celebrate New Owings Mills Store With Grand Opening

OWINGS MILLS, MD — Burlington is opening a brand-new store at Mill Run in Owings Mills. The grand opening will take place Friday, Sept. 27, and the festivities continue Saturday, Sept. 28.

The new store will sell discounted clothing, furniture, accessories, baby items, home décor and a large selection of coats. Burlington is an off-price retailer that runs nearly 700 stores in 45 states and Puerto Rico. It prices are up to 60 percent off.

The new 40,000-square-foot store in Owings Mills is creating 65 jobs.

The new store is at Mill Station, the new open-air shopping destination authorities say will encompass more than 600,000 square feet when complete. Kimco is developing Mill Station in the area where the Owings Mills Mall locked its doors in 2015 and was subsequently demolished.

Anchor Costco opened there in October, and Lowe's opened at the end of January. Giant also held a grand opening recently. A.C. Moore is in the process of moving in, as are several other tenants.

Burlington's grand opening comes the day after Home Sense opened nearby.

Here's what is planned for the grand opening at Burlington on Friday, Sept. 27:

• 8:45 a.m. — Store employees, local officials and community members will cut the ceremonial ribbon.
• 9 a.m. — The first 500 customers will receive a free Burlington tote.

The fun continues on Saturday, Sept. 28:

• 9 a.m. — The store will open as usual.
• 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Family fun is on tap, with children's activities, a DJ, gift card giveaways and more.

To celebrate its grand opening, Burlington will also donate $10,000 through a partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org to pay for materials at a nearby school.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
