One Reisterstown Shooting Suspect in Custody: Police

Two other suspects in deadly Reisterstown assault are at large, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — One suspect is in custody and two others are at large in connection with a shooting Sunday night that resulted in the death of a Reisterstown man, police said.

Brayhant Leonel Sosa-Gonzalez, 20, of the 100 block of Brookebury Drive in Reisterstown, is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree assault. According to police, he was identified as one of three suspects in the weekend shooting that left an 18-year-old deceased.

Police said that the shooting was believed to have been a targeted crime. Sardor Fayziev, 18, of the unit block of Gloucester Court, was shot in the upper body in the midst of an assault on his backseat passenger by two suspects who had approached his car and opened the doors, police said. A shot was fired that hit Fayziev in the upper body, according to officials, who said he was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center Sunday and pronounced deceased Monday.

Authorities said that Sosa-Gonzalez was being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center in connection with the shooting.

"Detectives believe that this was a targeted crime and are continuing to work to identify the other two suspects," police said in a statement.
