Diners can have an immersive experience, complete with the traditional flavors of southern Brazil, at this restaurant that is new to MD.
ROCKVILLE, MD — The Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse is officially open to customers in the Rockville Pike area, marking the restaurant’s first such expansion in Maryland.
The churrasco-style steakhouse, located at 1651 Chapman Ave. in the Twinbrook Quarter, offers customers a variety of fire-roasted meats — such as bacon-wrapped chicken, wine-marinated pork and lobster bisque — that are served tableside for an immersive experience.
From hot to cold foods, diners will also have the opportunity to make selections from over 55 options of vegetables, fruits and salads — plus desserts like Brazilian flan, among other treats.

Its opening not only marks the restaurant’s first establishment in the Old Line State, but also the first in the mid-Atlantic region.
“With its welcoming atmosphere, dynamic diversity and discerning diners, selecting Rockville as our first Mid-Atlantic location was the clear choice,” Stephanie Rizzon, the assistant marketing director for the eatery, said in a release.
“We are confident Terra Gaucha will quickly become a well-loved destination in town.”
Terra Gaucha was initially founded in 2015 in Florida. The Maryland location is its sixth restaurant.
