Suspected Serial Bank Robber Strikes A Fourth Time: Police
Police are looking for a man they say is behind four SunTrust Bank robberies in Montgomery County.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Authorities say a man they think is behind three SunTrust Bank robberies in Rockville struck again Thursday, this time in Cloverly. Montgomery County Police have released surveillance photographs of the suspect, in hopes that the public can help identify him.
Around 3:39 p.m., police responded to the SunTrust Bank inside a Safeway at 15411 New Hampshire Ave. for the report of a robbery. According to authorities, the suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding cash. The bank robbery suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.

Police say the man may have been behind three other robberies at a SunTrust Bank inside a Rockville Safeway. The bank at 14939 Shady Grove Rd. was robbed on Jan. 27, Feb. 3, and March 3. In each instance, the suspected bank robber displayed a note demanding money and was able to flee with cash.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect or these bank robberies is urged to call police at 240-773-5100. To be eligible for a cash reward, tipsters can call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Callers may remain anonymous.
