Richard Montgomery Security Chief Had Sex With 17-Year-Old Despite No Contact Order: Police

He was ordered not to contact any minors after being released on bond, but was arrested after allegedly having sex with the teen again.

ROCKVILLE, MD -- A Richard Montgomery High School security guard, who has been charged with sexual abuse of a minor, has been working with teens for decades. He has been coaching boys' and girls' basketball teams and been working with minors for 30 years in Maryland and New York City, according to WTOP.

Mark Yantsos, 57, a former New York Police Officer, was serving as the security chief for the school when he was placed on administrative leave amid the charges. In early April, he was released on a $75,000 bond and ordered to not contact any minors, including the 17-year-old with whom he allegedly had an ongoing sexual relationship.

WTOP reported that he gave the teen gifts, including a pair of Ugg boots, a North Face jacket, a ring, an iPhone 7 and a diamond pendant during their relationship. He was rearrested on Friday, May 5 after having several meetings with the teenager, according to police. He was accused of spending five hours with the teen on Thursday, May 4, during which he allegedly had sex with the girl.
