Michael Phelps Has Secret Wedding

Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson tied the knot before the Olympics, sources say.

Both Phelps and Johnson had said they were not planning to have their wedding until after the games in Rio de Janeiro, where he won five gold medals and one silver.

Phelps proposed to Johnson in February 2015. They had their child Boomer Robert Phelps on May 5. At the Olympics, they told reporters that they were planning a wedding before the end of 2016.

Unbeknownst to their fans, by the time Phelps jumped into the pool in August in Brazil as Boomer and Johnson watched from the stands, they were already legally married. The couple wed in Paradise Valley, Arizona, at a June ceremony presided over by Phelps' agent, USA Today reported.

Even so, Johnson shared that two weeks ago she was scoping out bride fashion week.
