Charles County deputies and U.S. Marshals found the man in Brandywine with a stolen handgun, and he’s now held without bond as officials stress ongoing efforts to keep Waldorf’s growing neighborhoods safe from gun crime.

Charles County Liquor Board Questions License Transfer, Shared Kitchen Plans For The Creek Sports Bar (thebaynet.com) — A recent Charles County liquor board hearing in Waldorf put The Creek Sports Bar’s license transfer and shared-kitchen plans under tight scrutiny, temporarily blocking it from selling alcohol under Boston’s old license. Owners say they acted in good faith and are revising paperwork, aiming to return June 11 with updated plans that could shape a new dining-and-nightlife spot for Waldorf residents.
