Pitching out of Regency Furniture Stadium, he allowed just one earned run in 10.2 innings, helping power Southern Maryland’s second shutout of the season. 
• Flint Named Charles County Emergency Services Director (southernmarylandchronicle.com) — Charles County has tapped longtime Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department leader Lester Flint as its new Emergency Services Director, overseeing 911, EMS, emergency management, and animal control starting Sept. 8.
