MA Pastry Chef Competing In 'The Ultimate Baking Championship' On Food Network
He and 15 of the nation's best bakers are competing to win $50,000 and the title of the Ultimate Baking Champion.
QUINCY, MA — A Massachusetts-based pastry chef is making another television appearance in Food Network's newest show, "The Ultimate Baking Championship."
Robert Gonzalez, the owner of the French bakery Niveaux Pâtisserie, at 406 Hancock St. in Quincy, will compete on the new baking competition show, according to Food Network. Gonzalez is also the executive pastry chef at Masons Steakhouse, at 1170 Hancock St.
The Ultimate Baking Championship premiered earlier this month. The nine-week special features 16 of the nation's best bakers battling for the chance to win $50,000 and the title of the Ultimate Baking Champion.

However, this won't be Gonzalez's first television debut. He was a semifinalist on season 10 of Food Network's "Spring Baking Championship" and also competed on "Chopped Sweets."

Gonzalez first opened his business , Niveaux Pâtisserie, in 2024, just a few weeks before the opening of Masons Steakhouse just down the road, according to a report from the Patriot Ledger.
He and restaurant owner Jimmy Liang opened the pastry shop as a second counter at YoCha, which offers desserts and breads, the newspaper reported.
